This picturesque city is surrounded by red-rock monoliths named Coffeepot, Cathedral, and Thunder Mountain. At the north end of the city is the stunning Oak Creek Canyon, a breathtaking chasm that is wildly wonderful as well as relaxing and tranquil.
The Oak Creek Chapter was organized on June 26, 2006, with Joan E. Kennedy, organizing regent, among the 19 organizing members.
Oak Creek flows through a narrow gorge it has cut along a fault line in the same rock strata that form the Grand Canyon. The creek flows from below the top of the Mogollon Rim, through Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, and much of the surrounding Verde Valley, making it an integral part of the area's everyday life.
Chapter meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of the month. For more information please contact our chapter regent, Donna Pratt. Prospective members are invited. We meet in Sedona at the "Church of the Red Rocks" at 11:00AM.
